Start the week off with the right mindset!
Every Monday we share some key insights from the top players past and present. This week, be like Djokovic and believe.
Love him or hate him Djokovic is a champion. He is a 12-time grand slam winner and former number 1 player in the world. When he was playing his best tennis he was almost unbeatable. He may be having a sub-par 2017 but don't count Djokovic out. He has hired Andre Agassi as a coach for the French Open. Whether or not Djokovic will regain his old form depends on two things:
1) Andre helping Djokovic to believe again- Andre was able to get back to the top spot after falling to 141 in the world. There are few people in the world who have been able to get back to the top again after falling so low. Andre is a task master. He loves the process. If anyone can get Djokovic on the right track to believing again it is Andre.
2) Djokovic has to really, really, really want it- Only Djokovic knows how much he wants to get back to the top spot. It is certain that Djokovic wants to recapture the magic and win titles again. What isn't certain is how far will Djokovic go to achieve success. Does he want it more than Roger, Rafa, or Andy?
Only time will tell whether Djokovic will regain his highest level of tennis. If he does recapture his form of old, he will be facing a rejuvenated Roger Federer and an almost good as new Rafael Nadal. This would be great for tennis and the tennis fan! Let's hope it happens.
