Every Friday we will highlight the fitness of top players past and present. This week, be like Roger and go for it.
Roger Federer is an amazing athlete and an exceptional tennis player. He has been a force in men's tennis for over 15 years. Amazingly, Roger just won his second grand slam of the year. He has won a men's record 19 grand slam singles titles and has been ranked number 1 in the world for a record 302 weeks. Roger is known for his fluid serve, his incredible forehand, his beautiful backhand, and his masterful all court game.
Up until this year, Roger had not won a grand slam since 2012. However, this year Roger has improved his backhand technique and "is taking it more to his opponents...and going after his shots." This strategy seems to be working because Roger is playing his best tennis ever and his results speak for themselves. For his increased aggression and, many other reasons Roger Federer is our Fitness Friday athlete.
